So a new month starts. A bleak October. The rain hasn't stopped though, even though it's a new month, it just keeps going as if it doesn't matter at all. My routines have changed majorly though. My parents came home from vacation. I woke up at 9 to a cup of morning tea. I'm taking a walk in one hour. Dad's playing tennis. Everybody's falling back into their same old routines, so I guess I have to too. For starters, how about going to bed at least before 12? I bet that would be a good routine to hold on to.

The days go fast. Really, they just fly away. All I'm posting about is how they fly away, because so little of relevance has time to happen that there's nothing else to post about other than the passage of time. It's much more eventful than my life ATM. My life ATM? Sorting blogs and working on university assignments, occasionally taking walks and eating. That's what I do every day, day after day after day.

So... what's new? Time is passing. It's flowing. It's always in motion. It's vast like an ocean. It's past all devotion. New dimensions open. Later.

Woke up tired so I took a zapping. For the first time in at least a week the sun was shining on my morning promenade, so for at least the day everything is bright and wonderful! I've been working on creative writing today, blasting through ten assignments speedier than I thought I would, reading a bunch of short stories, also sorting some files, also buying 5 games at GOG (the whole Kings Quest series for $4, all 5 games). Don't have time to play it yet, though, but I'm saving it for a rainy day, seems like a fun play!

I'm sitting here working even though it's a Sunday. Wonder how many people have as intensive weeks as I do? And do I really profit for it? I mean, do I really stay efficient? Can I really work the whole week and keep my level of interest peaked? Well, not really. I should probably start taking Sundays or Somedays off, but for now it feels like there's too much to do. But of course, that feeling is permanent. :) It's not like I'll have less to do if I stop doing more, right? I should start lessening the workload. Take breaks.

Doh, yeah. So I'm sitting by the computer again typing in two days of typings, trying to make up for yesterdays yesterdays allnighting, went to bed at 9 cause a cold I was fighting yesterday, it messed with me, but today I'm fresh like I was yestereve. What have I got in my best of sleeves, a new ace or something? It better be. I'm going to keep going till life gets the best of me, and hope it's a while before then, but I just you see. And that's all the poetry for today, I'll go and say: later.

Yesterday I decided to plug in two computers to the same screen, one through the VGA input and one through HDMI. One computer is running Windows XP and one is running Windows 7. One is really old and not connected to the Internet since all types of firewall programs hog system resources. The other one can handle it. I flipped through the screen menu options to find some dual screen option, but there didn't seem to be one. At random, I pressed the buttons used to toggle menu items outside the menu, and it turns out they switch inputs. Woohoo! :D

So my big question for the morning was: can you get D-Vitamins from the sun through a window? I was standing by the window, the suns early rays stinging my eyes, and the question popped into mind. I looked it up. Turns out it's not ass effective as standing outside, it takes longer time, the window blocks some of the incoming energy, but it's better than nothing. Then again, in the winter on this side of the world you don't get any D-Vitamins from the sun anyway, so the project falls short. Time to go outside. Soon. Later.

Woke up with a blasting headache. It's probably the result from A) Too much food last night B) Too little sleep last night and C) Too little exercise yesterday. Things like this are easy to prevent, so why don't I? I guess the computer really is a captivating machine, especially if you're tired. It just sucks you in like a vacuum and keeps you seated. I feel the tension less when I just sit, though. If I just sat, for an hour maybe, would the headache go away completely? If not, I know it'll get worse, then disappear at nightfall.

Yesterday I browsed through old computers. I mean, ads for old computers, and I found about 20-30 that I thought about buying. Being tired and all, I wasn't fit to judge, so I left them in my bookmarks and decided to go through them all this morning. I quickly rinsed through the list and I'm now left with about 8 that still seem interesting enough. What I'm looking for specifically is a computer that can handle games, new ones preferably. I have an old computer that's too old, and a new that doesn't have a graphics card. What's next?

So I bought a new computer. I mean I bought an old computer. It's a Macintosh G3, not to be confused with the newer G3. It's the old GC, with the Power PC processor on 300mhz, 8GB memory and 448MB RAM. The RAM is an upgrade, G3 wasn't shipped with more than 32-128MB. I bough the computer because it was cheap, but also because I like old computers. I like to browse through the programs and settings and see how it was back then. This one uses OS 9. My even older Mac has OS 7. Things do change. :)

I watched Prometheus yesterday. It's a movie about aliens and religion, ends and new beginnings, the mysteries and questions of life, and obviously some grotesque monsters that slither and suck the life out of ya. It had everything, including the same actress that performed in the original Alien trilogy. I think. The name sounded familiar, but maybe I'm confusing her with someone else. Nevertheless, it was a good movie, both inspiring and terrifying at the same time, with some pretty amazing digitally rendered landscapes and special effects. It looks real, that's how well it is. It was a good watch.

Woke up with a thundering headache today, so I'm staying home. If I hadn't, the grand event would have been the Max EXPO, an exhibition with manufacturing mechs and factory machines. I went there last year... or maybe it was the year before... and it was an entertaining walk, a lot to look at. Also a lot of bowls filled with candy for hungry guests. :)

Today I'll be computerbound instead, or bedbound, depending on how my head develops. Morning walk didn't help much. What else does? For now, I'd best get needed things done before it gets worse.

I watched RED yesterday, a romantical action comedy about former CIA agent Frank Moses (played by Bruce Willis) and that actress from Weeds, and a bunch of other retired CIA agents, that get together to find out why they're all on a hitlist. Eventually they find out it's the VP of the USA that's trying to cover up old tracks and commuted sins. So in the end they kill the VP. Well actually, the real villain kills the VP. Retrospective spoiler alert btw. All in all it's a surprisingly good movie, maybe my best watch from 2010. Also, Knight & Day.

Yeah. Woke up early today, around 5:something. Stayed in bed a while reading Phantom comics and trying out a Pokemon Diamond game I bought recently (or was it Pearl?). Sitting by the computer now listening to Eminem feeling like I'm getting a ton of things done just because I'm up earlier than normal. Normally I wouldn't even have started doing stuff yet. It fills me with a sense of freedom, everything I accomplish now is an accomplishment I normally wouldn't have made good time with. So, I feel completely unpressured, free to work at any pace I like, fast. ;)

Yawn. It's winter time now,and it IS winter. Usually it isn't. It's just a shift of time, but if you look outside my window you'll see a little white. I mean snow, and the mornings are pretty pretty but cold.

Since it's winter time you get to sleep an hour extra in the morning. Today I did just that. I wasn't planning to. I was actually planning on getting up an hour earlier everyday automatically (since the click moved forward), but apparently that's not so easy after a busy weekend. Guess I'll try again tomorrow. Later then.

So it's the last day of October. The last day. It's also my sisters birthday, but we celebrated her yesterday. A few relatives came over to celebrate too and we ended up playing some TrackMania, among other games. I met up with an old friend yesterday morning as well. Lots of things going down at the end of this month, and at the start of the next, and today I have to hand in a short story I've barely started writing. I have the plot worked out though, so it shouldn't be too hard. See you in the new month!
