INTERESTS:
For the last twelve years, Andrew Bettridge had been
making a living as a writer of radio commercials.
Starting off in Perth Australia, his work took him to
Sydney, then to London, followed by
Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the North of England, back to
Sydney, then to Melbourne and, finally, back to Sydney
again. He won many awards, but was never quite
satisfied, so he decided to start work on the Great
Australian Novel that everyone was waiting for.
Unfortunately, his years of writing thirty second radio
spots had conditioned him to stop writing at one
hundred words. This troubled him greatly.
