Ironically, Mom did keep a lot of her motherís junk, and thirty years after my grandmotherís death, I spent a few hours looking through boxes of the things my mother did preserve: Jell-O molds, miscellaneous cups and saucers, an endless supply of relish trays, a vase or two. I have no room to store these things, so theyíll have to be sold or given away. There was one treasure so far: a faceted glass bowl with a gilded edge and blue stars painted on the facets. This dish is part of a set, and I hope I find the rest.
