I hate how once I’ve made a commitment to myself to do something, I screw myself. Satisfying that promise becomes the new God. Just once, I’d like to be left with my free-will and present moment spontaneity in tact, with the ability to respond with love to whatever situation arrives, instead of viewing it as an enemy messing with my service to the commitment God.
