why do we need capital letters? consider this sentence: “i bought prozac at walmart from my pharmacist, greg, for a trip to missouri from california because god told me to go to disneyland”. you can still understand all the words without capitals, right? a sentence reads just fine without capitalizing the first letter. the period from the previous sentence tells you a new one started. and why capitalize “i” but not “me”, or “she”? besides letters, capital refers to states and money, which makes the practice sound like an invention of conquerors, and makes me want to capitalize even less.
